Abingdon Camera Club (ACC) has been in existence for more than 30 years and has had a variety of meeting places. Currently we meet on alternate Thursdays in the Methodist Church Hall, Dorchester Crescent (postcode OX14 2AQ), off Appleford Drive, in Abingdon (behind the Boundary House Pub), where there is a handy bus-stop.
Meetings commence at 7.45pm and finish at around 10.00pm. They are held fortnightly throughout the year, with the exception of August when most people are on holiday.
Our programme features a diverse range of items to give variety and interest to the members. The Club endeavours to accommodate all types of photographic medium, Digital, Film, Compact, SLR, Large Format. You don't have to own a camera to become a member; just an interest in photography.
For the last couple of years, we have met fortnightly and have continued throughout the year, apart from a break in August. This seems to suit most people instead of the weekly season of meetings from September through to May. There are occasionally extra meetings slotted in to add to the interest of the club.
If you want to find out more about us, why not come along to one or two of our meetings. We make a nominal charge, but if you join this is deducted from your annual subscription.
The annual subscription is £40 for Single Membership. There is a meeting fee of £2, which covers attendance and refreshments. Visitors - £3.
Where there are events to which the public are invited and a different admission charge is published, the published entry fee will apply.

ABINGDON GOES DIGITAL
Following the successful application to the Awards for All to purchase Digitial Imaging Presentation Equipment in 2005, the Club has made great use of the equipment which it purchased with the lottery funding. Don't worry if you still use film - there is a place for you in the Camera Club. We still have members who swear there is no alternative to film and the club is happy to promote both media in its programme of events.
